€29 Million Shared Education Project Launched

Post Primary Admissions – September 2018
The post primary admissions process concluded on 18 May 2018 with a total of 22,371 (98.62%) children placed in a school. 86.35% of children have been offered a place at their first preference school, while 1.38% are as yet unplaced.
Pre-School Admissions for September 2018
Stage 2 of the pre-school admissions process ended on 8 June 2018. At this date 22,566 (98.05%) pre-school age children with 87.48% being offered a place at first preference. 589 younger children were successfully placed.
Parents who have not obtained a funded pre-school place for their child at the end of the stage 2 of the process can view a list of pre-school providers that may have funded places available.

The Education Authority (EA) has celebrated the completion of three outdoor play space and eco garden projects at St John the Baptist Primary School, St Kevin’s Primary School and St Teresa’s Nursery School. The projects delivered by EA have transformed the outdoor play areas at the three schools improving school facilities and enhancing the learning experience for children and young people.
