This website was created to support teachers through the 2020-2021 academic year and beyond. It aims to promote the reflective practice of the Teacher Professional Learning strategy, supporting teachers to be learning leaders.

Creation of happiness boxes is one of the strategies outlined in an innovative on-line Teacher Professional learning Programme, which was launched by the Education Authority (EA) on 5th November 2020.

We are delighted to be supporting the Christmas Family Appeal again this year. Last year you generously raised over 2300 toys for this Appeal as part of an EA wide campaign.

We are delighted to announce the launch of InterpreterNow which enables our deaf and sign language users to communicate directly to schools or to Education Authority (EA) staff using a video relay service.

The Education Authority (EA) is asking parents to help spread the message about the importance of wearing face coverings on all school transport. This comes after the EA delivered over 850,000 face masks to schools across Northern Ireland for pupils who avail of home to school transport.

Kicking off Good Relations Week, 14 more schools in Northern Ireland have been recognised as Schools of Sanctuary in an online celebration event.

At a meeting of the Teachers’ Negotiating Committee (TNC) this morning, Management Side and the Northern Ireland Teachers’ Council (NITC) formally ratified an agreement to resolve the long running industrial dispute of teachers’ pay and workload.

At a meeting of the Teachers’ Negotiating Committee (TNC) this morning (Wednesday 8th April), and following receipt of the appropriate approvals from the Department of Education and the Department of Finance, Management Side submitted a formal offer to the NITC to resolve the long running industrial dispute of teachers’ pay and workload.
