Pre-School Admissions for September 2018

Stage 2 of the pre-school admissions process ended on 8 June 2018. At this date 22,566 (98.05%) pre-school age children with 87.48% being offered a place at first preference. 589 younger children were successfully placed.

Parents who have not obtained a funded pre-school place for their child at the end of the stage 2 of the process can view a list of pre-school providers that may have funded places available.

Notification of placement – Pre-School

Parents who participated in Stage 2 of the procedure should receive written notification of the outcome of their application on Saturday 9 June 2018. Letters have been issued by pre-school providers to the parents of those children they are admitting. The Education Authority has written to the parents of children who did not secure a funded place for September 2018 advising them of the action they should take now.

Any parent who does not receive their placement letter can contact the Education Authority between the hours of 3.30pm and 5.00pm only on Saturday 9 June 2018 to confirm placement details. Please note that this is a contingency arrangement which should only be used in the event that your placement letter has not arrived.
