The UK wide awards sees the Education Authority nominated alongside other public sector organisations including The Department of Work and Pensions, The Cabinet Office and the Environment Agency.

This award recognises public sector innovation that has delivered measurable impact in the past year.

A public vote will determine the top three finalists from the category who will go forward to the next round of judging. The ultimate winner will be announced at the Digital Leaders 100 awards ceremony in November.

We would really appreciate your vote.  Voting is quick and easy and you can do so by visiting Digital Public Service Innovation of the Year page.

The Education Authority, through its Admissions Team, manages the admissions process on behalf of schools in Northern Ireland each year. This project moved post-primary admissions online for the first time with the Covid-19 pandemic hastening the need for an online system to cater for the process.  The EA handled 23,207 applications on behalf of 200 schools, providing integration to enable a simple, user-friendly application.
