Advice heading into Summer
During the Spring and Summer period it is possible that we will experience some very heavy periods of thundery rain which could result in flooding. It is important to be vigilant.
The Department for Infrastructure has advised on some simple precautions that can be taken that may help prevent flooding for example:
- Ensure you have accurate emergency contact details to hand , particularly for the elderly and vulnerable
- Stay aware of weather warnings
- Report blockages/debris or flooding to your local DfI Roads office and if you notice debris causing rivers to be swollen or in flood, then please report this to your local DfI Rivers office
